Q: WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO BOOST MY IMMUNE SYSTEM?

A: GABRIEL COUSENS
“The best way to boost the immune system is to get adequate sleep. There are also a variety of herbs that sleep, moderate exercise, lymphatic massage, and hot-cold showers, consisting of three to seven cycles of hot and cold alterations, can all boost the lymphatic system, which supports the immune system.”

A: FRED BISCI
"Change your lifestyle. Do a juice fast or water fast under supervision. Start exercising. Clean out your digestive system. Get plenty of fresh air and sunshine. Drink clean water. It’s the same situation as for recovering from any disease.

A lot of people don’t realize that when you’re eating a bad diet, your body is kind of like a garbage disposal system. The endogenous material is a perfect nesting place for bacteria. Everybody sneezes on you, and you’re probably going to pick up a cold and find you have a weak immune system. If your system is clean, you exercise, you’re not overeating, and you’re eating the right food, people could sneeze on you all they want and you’re unlikely to get sick. The host is a factor for contagion. I only recommend supplements as a last resort.

I deal with all kinds of sick people. I don’t remember the last time I had a cold. Keep your system clean, and make sure you’re moving your bowels once for every meal you eat. If you do that, and drink plenty of water, get plenty of fresh air and exercise, and try to maintain a tranquil state of mind, you’re going to have a very powerful immune system, there’s no two ways about it."

A: BRIAN CLEMENT
"Number 1—the sun, early morning sun, 9 o’clock and before and two hours before sunset, 12 months a year. If you’re living in cold climates, wear natural fiber clothes. Go out and get a minimum of 30 minutes, five days a week.
Exercise is scientifically validated as a great way to boost the immune system today."

Q: WHAT IS THE BEST THING TO DO TO BOOST THE IMMUNE SYSTEM FOR PROTECTION AGAINST COLDS AND INFECTIONS?

A: VIKTORAS KULVINSKAS
"Adequately hydrating is number one, taking extra enzymes with meals and in between meals, and consuming probiotics. The studies are extensive."

"Get your body in motion, and you'll get out of that emotion which is making you feel lousy."
—Viktoras Kulvinskas

"What we’ve learned in recent years, is that the number one nutrient to protect you from colds and flu is zinc. Boy, can you get a lot of zinc in sprouted pumpkin seeds and mung bean sprouts, but taking a liquid ionic form of these minerals, if you have a lot of colds and flus, would be terrific. Again, not taking dairy food, too many cooked foods, not taking bakery or flour products and other grain products, meats of any type, all of that is part of it, but really, the zinc is at the top of the list, hands down.
Statistically, in different research studies globally, they have shown that if you contract a cold or flu, you reduce it by one-third by taking zinc. If you have a 6-day cold or flu, it would be a 4-day one, just by consuming an adequate amount of the proper zinc. If you are feeling a cold come on, and you take enough zinc, the likelihood is that you’re not going to contract that cold, or if you do, it’s going to be a minor cold at that point. I’m a major fan of zinc. It does work, and its organic, whole food form is by far the best or if you’re taking a supplement, again the ionic form."

A: GABRIEL COUSENS
"Support the immune system with adequate sleep. One of the biggest causes of illness I’ve seen is not getting adequate sleep or being overstressed in one’s life situation. Getting adequate sleep, minimizing stress, and eating at least an 80% live food diet for 2 years, has been shown by one of my Live Food Masters students, to improve immune function by 92%. Many supplements, like vitamin D and medicinal mushrooms, are also great protectors."

"The single most significant lifestyle change a person can make is to avoid or minimize sugar in all forms, including both glucose and fructose. Sugar is detrimental to our health, wellbeing and longevity."
—Gabriel Cousens

A: FRED BISCI
"I think that’s a misunderstanding. If your system is toxic, you’re loaded with all kinds of garbage. Taking vitamin C or zinc is only going to be a temporary adjunct. The best thing to do is clean out your system. Detoxify; get to the point where you’re moving your bowels regularly; eat a good plant-based diet; reduce stress in your life; and get all the chemicals out of your system. Then, you’re going to have strong protection against colds and infection. It’s all about if you are a good host for bacteria proliferation. If you are a toxic waste dump, you are going to be picking up infections often because you are a good host for them. You are providing a fertile environment for the bacteria to proliferate. If you are clean from a healthy lifestyle, your so-called immune system will be strong. What this means is, you will not be a good host for bacteria proliferation."

"The fact remains that those who eat a plant-based diet, juice, and blend whole foods, in general, are far healthier and get less opportunistic infections than those who are not following this lifestyle."
—Fred Bisci
