Adam Kimble is a professional ultrarunner, motivational speaker, race director and running coach living in beautiful Lake Tahoe with his high school sweetheart wife Karen and dog Sofi. Some of his feats include lasting 60 days alone in the wilderness to become the winner of Discovery Channel’s The Wheel, running across the US in 60 days, a 31-day self-supported crossing and record-setting run of Great Britain (1,050 miles) and its three highest peaks, and his most recent 172-mile Tahoe Rim Trail run in 45.5 hours to become the second fastest person to complete the trail. We check in with Adam about athletic performance, healthy lifestyle, and E3Live superfoods.

Tell us about yourself.
I'm a professional ultrarunner with a love of pushing past my own limitations and seeking to inspire others to do the same! And I love the great outdoors!

When and why did you become interested in a healthy lifestyle?
I became interested in a healthy lifestyle shortly after my college baseball career. I was in the gym and working out a lot in college, but I paid little to no attention to what I put in my body. After graduating, I wanted to place an emphasis on internal health, and I’ve never looked back since!

Besides what you do professionally, what is your favorite fitness activity?
My favorite fitness activity outside of ultrarunning is hot yoga. It's exactly what my body needs for recovery after I beat it up from all the long races and training runs!

What is your go-to healthy meal?
My go-to healthy meal is a smoothie! My favorite E3 recipe has the following ingredients (though I don’t measure exact amounts): frozen cherries, a handful of kale/spinach mix, cinnamon, peanut butter, honey, E3Live OriginalBlue Majik powder, and soymilk. DELICIOUS!

What E3Live superfoods do you take and how/when/for what?
I use the E3Live Original and Blue Majik powder, both primarily in smoothies!

What is the difference in your overall athletic performance since you started incorporating E3Live superfoods? What did you notice first/overall, and the most?
I can't speak to the exact athletic performance gains of using E3 products, but my litmus test as a professional athlete is to use what makes me feel healthy and strong. After I started using E3, I noticed that I was feeling great and that was enough for me to believe in the power of the product!

What's your secret to health and happiness?
My secret to health and happiness is to find balance. Find balance in your spirituality, your nutrition, your fitness lifestyle, and all other aspects of your life. When you do that, everything else seems to fall into place!

What are your #1 health and fitness tips?
My #1 tip for people to be healthy and fit is to find something that is sustainable for YOU! Don’t pick a random diet or exercise that you think are supposed to help but aren’t something you enjoy. Find things that you like to eat (and are healthy) and find activities that make you happy and improve your quality of life! When you go about it that way, you’ll make it a lifestyle instead of a quick fix.

What's next for you?
The next adventure for me is the Tarawera 100-mile race I have on February 8th in New Zealand! After that, I have several other races in 2020, and then I’m planning a big running expedition for 2021. I ran across the US in 2016; I ran self-supported across Great Britain in 2017; I completed the entire Tahoe Rim Trail in 2019; and now I’m looking for the next big running adventure in 2021!
